I'll Still Yearn For Your Guitar
by Sophia Zitioui

I miss you, and you’re right there, so I shouldn’t. You’re right there and we’ll talk. I’ll send you the songs I know you’ll like. You’ll learn them on your guitar, but I’ll never hear them. I used to, and the video album I keep with your initials is evidence enough that I cherished them more than you’d ever know. I cherish the days where you didn’t know I loved you, and I didn’t know I loved you, and I let myself pretend that I didn’t stop to breathe in your perfume, that I never searched the room when I heard your voice. I wish I kept pretending, because that would mean you didn’t know that I loved you, and the album would keep growing, and we’d talk, and I wouldn’t  miss you because you’d be right there.
