At Least I Have You
by Maeve O'Conner

Since the incident I haven’t felt secure.

I still wake up in a panic at 1:58.

I still lie in bed alert and awake.

But soon there will be a day.

Another day just like today.

A day when I can’t help but feel okay.

Just like how I’ll always feel someday.

Maybe being with you is the permanent solution.

Maybe being with you is the best way.

Because you make me smile when it’s been a while.

I’d spend any amount of money just to get to see you.

Everything about us feels perfect.

You make everything feel worth it.

It’s the kind of thing where I wonder if it's real sometimes.

The way we talk everyday.

The way we love to play or even just hang.

Your string of lights completes me.

If only I had you back then.

Somehow, you make my life feel like a 10/10.

Just wait and see how you’ve changed me.

Life is enough now.

Who you are is the best thing that’s happened to me.

Forever loving, you’re my best friend through and through.

Time turns and leaves fall but I know that tomorrow I’ll still have you.

You’re the song I’ll keep singing
